青海原子城中国首个核武器研制基地旧址（3月15日摄）。青海原子城位于青海省海北藏族自治州金银滩草原金银滩往事:在我国第一个核武器研制基地的日子，总面积1100多平方公里。它是我国建设的第一个核武器研制基地，老一辈科技工作者在这里成功研制出中国第一颗原子弹和第一颗氢弹。 1993年基地退役后，移交给当地政府。青海省将其命名为西海镇，确定为海北藏族自治州首府。 2001年金银滩往事:在我国第一个核武器研制基地的日子，青海原子城被国务院列为全国重点文物保护单位。 2005年11月，原子城被确定为全国爱国主义教育示范基地。
